“High On A Mountaintop”: A song for the Americans murdered in Benghazi

Here is a video that I saw posted over at the Other McCain. It is song based on the events that took place in Benghazi, Libya where four American’s, including the U.S. Ambassador were murdered by Al Qaeda. These Americans deserve a lot better than a YouTube music video, but its a good start - help it go viral by reposting on you blogs, Facebook, twitter, and email.

A couple of the American’s murdered were Navy Seals. The parents and families of these folks have been lied to and ignored by the government when trying to get information about the death of their sons. We the public have been lied to about what took place that night. I post this video not to make some political point but to keep these four brave Americans in your thoughts. Their names are Christopher Stevens (ambassador), Tyrone Woods, Glen Doherty, and Sean Smith. These were real people with real families – Never forget them.

On September 11, 2012, these men fought waves of terrorists while being watched from an unarmed drone surveying the battle. As officials back home watched the battle unfold they denied several requests to send backup. Then these same officials watched these men, who were outnumbered and overrun, be slaughtered.  To this day, nobody knows who gave the stand-down order for reinforcements. Now the government is bickering over details and reports and not focusing on the fact that four men are DEAD. They are too busy pointing fingers and throwing each other under the bus in order to keep their jobs to remember the real loss here is real people and families.

Meanwhile,  the families of these slain men got nothing more from the government than a folded American flag and the middle finger. Disgusting.

Please keep these people in your thoughts and never forget what happened in Benghazi. To forget them would like turning our backs on them and that already happened to them once. Let’s not let that happen again.
